Frontier AI era is reshaping the balance between digital attack and defence. The ENISA report warns that advanced models are crushing the vulnerability cycle: from discovery to exploitation, everything now happens at a speed that challenges traditional security mechanisms. The European agency identifies a set of challenges that are already determining the present: attacks that exceed response capacity, an explosion of vulnerabilities, the structural weight of technical debt, insufficient human verification, accelerated weaponization of known flaws, the need for secure by design, and software chains vulnerable to inside-out attacks. This diagnosis is reinforced by global experts. Deloitte emphasizes in an analysis that AI is reshaping cybersecurity "at machine speed," creating risks in four domains—data, models, applications, and infrastructure—and requiring an urgent adaptation of corporate defences. The proliferation of shadow AI, autonomous agents with excessive privileges, and poorly governed integrations expand the internal attack surface.
