The security of data centres that provide cloud services is an unavoidable issue, particularly for those who manage them daily or pay for its service. Last February, in the US, the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) presented the results of a survey carried out to more than 2 000 IT professionals, where 77 % declared they felt unprepared to deal with cyberthreats and 18 % of organisations assumed that it takes more than four days to address critical vulnerabilities. Faced with the difficulty of maintaining trust between those involved, in an environment where Internet connections are always secure and on, responsibility for data security must be guaranteed by cloud service providers, backed up by good customer practices.
